Hackulous Left The Scene! Installous 5 has shut down.
Those of you that are into downloading cracked applications (I know you’re there) will be saddened to learn that Hackulous, the infamous installer app for cracked applications, is shutting down. Others will rejoice and see this as a victory, especially for developers.
Many readers want to know more about Installous and how to install Installous on iOS 5.1.1 to eventually install cracked or jailbroken apps on their iDevices. Well, it is that hard to do. SAD. Hackulous has shut down. Installous has shut down.
P.S.
What comes to the mind to the most your familiar when you mention a word “jailbreak”? Opponents of hacking immediately name “piracy”, they say, more often hacking is a way to steal applications without paying for them a cent. They say that reasonably, jailbreaking is almost unthinkable without piracy. It would be silly to say that “anyone who does jailbreak - they steal”. Even more stupid to say that to jailbreak does not mean to steal.
I will use more dense synonyms “stealing” and “theft” instead of the word “piracy”. It will be more correct and honest. We do not tolerate stealing of applications and try to stop the discussion “where to download” and “how to break down.” This is a very simple explanation for that. The developers have put a lot of time and effort that users could download not cracked versions of their applications with trackers and other exchangers.
“Fathers” of jailbreaking remind the matter of stealing, and every time they tried to keep a distance between themselves and stealing of applications, and encouraged to use a legally purchased software. There is an explanation: the stealing of software significantly harms both: iOS, as a platform and the developer. It is not difficult to guess that this behavior ultimately harms to the user. A „Free“application is not so free as it seems.
Excuses
People copy the CD, DVD or other “blu-ray” movies, games, and generally everything what has reached their hands for years. They copied a media content from the moment when became possible. Someone founded a philosophical excuse - bits and bytes should be free. Others thought that if they have copied original, such actions does not means stealing. Still others argued that media companies are too hostile to the user and to steal from them is a holy cause. This is a rebellious spirit and more. Of course, copy of a bough music CD to your iTunes library for easy listening on the player or the computer is not a crime.
If we talk about the App Store, the motives of stealing of applications remains a mystery to me, covered with impenetrable darkness. The average application costs 99 cents, in rare cases, the price rises to 5 $ if the application is really worth it. It turns out that the price of the application is comparable to the price of a cup of coffee, you drink. You will drink a coffee, but the App Store applications are in your account, and you can easily download it when you purchase a new device. The application does not work correctly if you just restored it from a backup.
Many are deterred necessity to bind to the account payment card. It is also not an excuse. Today there are services that are instantly and easily help you to have a virtual “Visa” with replenishment.
Conclusion
We have great content in the App Store at affordable prices, and the best defence against the attacks “antijailbreakers” is: do not steal applications. As fewer applications are downloaded illegally, will be less talk about that “jailbreak just for piracy.” More quality applications will appear in the App Store. And at least, it is honest.
