We know that Cydia store has cydia tweak “OS Experience” for Apple iPad, which brings multi-window mode and allows you to work simultaneously with two applications. Unfortunately, the this way is available only jailbroken iPads. IOS 8 coming soon. Nevertheless, it was announced that in two weeks Apple may officially announce a similar function for the iPad in the next generation of iOS 8.

According to insiders, the new iOS 8 option will allow you to run two applications on the tablet screen, located in the landscape mode. Interestingly, the same function is being actively advertised Microsoft, as one of the main advantages over Surface tablet line iPad.

In addition to allowing for two iPad apps to be used at the same time, the feature is designed to allow for apps to more easily interact, according to the sources. For example, a user may be able to drag content, such as text, video, or images, from one app to another. Apple is said to be developing capabilities for developers to be able to design their apps to interact with each other.

It is expected that this option will be implemented using the XPC and will be available to all developers.
