According to insiders sources that Apple will begin selling iPad 3 on March 7th. Moreover, unlike with iPad 2, Apple will offer pre-orders for iPad 3.

Pre-orders for iPad 3 said to begin in the final days of March, according to the sources iPad 3 pre-orders will begin between February 24th-29th.

Apple currently plans to begin pre-orders for their next-generation iPad in the final days of February. The company has still not finalized the pre-order start date, but is debating between February 24th and February 29th. The 29th seems more likely at this point according to one of our sources. Pre-orders for the new iPad 3 starting in late February will also mean that Apple’s fall event will take place in February.
