P0sixninja: is a member of the Chronic Dev team and the brain behind Greenpois0n untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1.
Last month, there was a report sayin that there are many teams are working on iOS 5 untethered jailbreak, one of them is the Chronic Dev-team.
P0sixninja has announced for the first time on jailbreaking convention MyGreatFest that he and his team have five bottom exploits that will bring untethered jailbreak for iPad 2 and iPhone 4S on iOS 5.
In coming few hours p0sixninja will give us some new exciting news, but will it about iOS 5 untethered jailbreak ? don’t know , but really can’t wait.

Pod2g claimed that the discovered bug won’t jailbreak iPad 2 or iPhone 4S, instead, it will only convert iOS 5 tethered jailbreak into untethered one. iPhone 4S and iPad 2 jailbreak was discovered by the iPhone Dev Team few weeks ago.

UPDATE: 30, October 2011:
Big update to semitethered jailbreak today. v0.9.1 incorporates Saurik’s new mobile substrate. Thanks to Saurik, we are entirely rid of all the daemon patching – this means there’s no more daemon patching or restarting. Most the semi-tether work is now done by mobile substrate.

It says that the new untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4, 3GS and iPad coming soon. Jailbreaking is hard work.

Jailbreak iPhone 4S release time not confirmed yet. All the above three groups that involved in jailbreak iPhone 4S didn’t give official word on the release date. It will consume some time to perform tests and modification to be released free of issues and holes. Anyway we will keep you updated with this.
