According to analysts, Apple sold about 500 million iPhone units. This indicator the company achieved over the past few weeks. This figure was an important step since the start of sales of devices of this type in 2007. Cool.

According to the Apple’s quarterly reports, the total amount of units sold was 472 million - between the start of sales in 2007 and the end of 2013. In the first quarter, the company sold about 38 million iPhone units. We can conclude that Apple broke the mark of 500 million smartphones sold.

We know that the last 100 million iPhone 5S/5/4S were sold for 4-6 weeks faster than the previous 100 million iPhone 5/4S/4. This suggests that the pace of Apple in smartphone sales increase. Sales growth could also contribute to the company’s entry into the Chinese market.

We can assume that the next iPhone will be 100 million sold even faster than in the previous period. And when you consider the upcoming release of the iPhone 6 (iPhone Air), it will definitely happen. The first 100 million units sold the company realized sales in four years, but sales have gone on much more active. It is interesting that in 2008 Apple planned to sell 10 million smartphones, and has become a reality in figure 13.8 million realized gadgets. Now, these figures seem ridiculous.
